Crane wheels (also known as travel wheels or overhead crane wheels) are widely used in overhead cranes, gantry cranes, port machinery, mining equipment, and other heavy lifting and transport systems. As a critical wear-prone component, wheel performance directly affects equipment reliability and maintenance frequency. Our crane wheels and wheel assemblies are manufactured from high-strength forged materials, precision heat-treated, and available in multiple structural designs to deliver dependable load-bearing capacity and smooth operation across diverse working conditions.
Product Range & Selection Guide
We supply complete wheel assemblies (including wheel, shaft, bearing housing, coupling, etc.) or individual wheels, configured to your needs. Based on flange design, our crane wheels are available in three types:
Double-flanged: provides excellent guidance and prevents derailment; ideal for general-purpose bridge and trolley travel mechanisms.
Single-flanged: features a simpler structure and requires track guidance; mainly used in gantry travel mechanisms.
Flangeless + horizontal guide wheels:minimizes friction between flange and rail side, making it especially suitable for large-span gantry cranes.
Diameter range covers Φ250mm ~ Φ900mm (larger sizes available on request). We also offer standardized wheel assembly packages matching models L762, L758, L756, and L754 to suit various capacities and rail gauges.
Core Materials & Process Advantages
Unlike conventional cast wheels, our products are forged from high-strength alloy steels such as 42CrMo and 65Mn. The forging process eliminates internal porosity and segregation, aligns the metal flow lines with the wheel contour, and significantly improves load capacity, impact toughness, and service life over cast steel wheels.
42CrMo: an ultra-high-strength steel with excellent hardenability; after quenching and tempering, it offers high fatigue limits, strong resistance to repeated impacts, and good low-temperature impact toughness.
65Mn:delivers high strength after heat treatment and cold-drawing hardening, while maintaining good toughness and ductility.
For high-hardness industrial wheels, 42CrMo outperforms 60-steel in both processability and practical service performance.
