Product Introduction

 Product Overview

The drum assembly is a key component of the crane hoisting mechanism. It mainly consists of a drum, drum shaft, gear coupling (or large gear), drum hub, bearing housing and bearings.
If a rotary upper travel limit switch is mounted at one end of the drum shaft, synchronous rotation between the drum shaft and the rotating shaft of the limit switch must be guaranteed to ensure proper operation of the hoisting limit function.

Core Materials & Technical Advantages

Three material options are available for drum machining:
  • Grey Cast Iron (Grade HT200): Cost-effective, subject to stress relief ageing treatment.
  • Cast Steel (Grade ZG270-500 / ZG25, ZG35): High tensile strength, requires annealing treatment.
  • Welded Steel Plate (Grade Q235B, Q345B): Designed for heavy-duty applications with superior structural strength, ideal for high-performance lifting equipment.

Material is 20CrMnTi steel as promised, processing precision is high, running smoothly on our overhead crane, no abnormal noise or serious abrasion after months of use. We ordered a batch of LD crane wheel assemblies for our workshop overhead crane maintenance project. These wheels are manufactured from 20CrMnTi steel with precise machining treatment, featuring stable dimensional accuracy, good surface hardness and outstanding wear resistance under long-time heavy load running.
