Causes of wheel slippage on overhead cranes

Bridge cranes (including single girder overhead travelling cranes and double girder overhead travelling cranes) have a total of 4 wheels at both ends of the big wheel, some customers find their cranes do not go after starting, the problem of wheel slippage when running, after analysis, there may be the following reasons:


(1) 4 wheels are not in a plane.


    The four wheels of the overhead crane are normally running in a plane, if there is a wheel is not in a plane, should be padded to adjust the angular bearing box at.


2) Start too hard, or brake too responsive.


    Cranes that start or stop too suddenly can cause a brief skid, which can be eliminated by adjusting the brake.


3) Check if there is oil on the track and wheels, water on the open track, etc.


    If there is oil or water on the track, it may cause the friction between the wheels and the track to decrease, resulting in slippage. The track should be cleaned up before use.


    Overhead crane wheel slippage should be dealt with in a timely manner, otherwise it may easily cause the large car to run out of synchronization, resulting in gnawing on the track, or even cause the crane to derail. Enterprises must pay attention to. Double girder overhead travelling crane trolley slippage, if also above these three reasons.

How to check for wheel slip:


    The way to check for trolley slippage is usually to observe the trolley twisting and swinging first, then analyse the specific cause. If two wheels slip, check which wheel is serious when you can put a piece of each diameter on the track. Equal to the lead wire, push the trolley pressure lead wire, and then take out the lead wire, use calipers to measure the thickness of the two pieces of lead wire, thick indicates wheel pressure small, thin indicates wheel pressure large. The wheel with small wheel pressure is slipping seriously. You can also use the method of withdrawing sand from the track to observe the degree of wheel force slippage. The fine sand evenly scattered, in the slippery section of a track, the trolley to drive here, back and forth to start several times, if still slippery, it is not the active wheel on this track has problems, but another track on the active wheel wheel pressure is small. The same test can be carried out again.
