European Style Crane Wheels Engineered for Single Girder and Double Girder Cranes Delivering Operation and Broad Industry

At present, European-style wheel sets have been widely used in single-girder and double-girder cranes manufactured by Anqi, and have achieved good application results, winning recognition from many users. Due to their excellent performance, such wheel sets will inevitably find increasingly broader application in the crane industry.

European-style wheel sets are mainly used in the currently more advanced European-style cranes. These wheels feature light weight, compact dimensions, and convenient installation. Forged wheel discs are mostly adopted. The wheel set mainly consists of four parts: wheel shaft, wheel disc, bearing housing, and bearings. Since they need to be directly matched with the integrated gearmotor without the use of a coupling, the assembly precision of this type of wheel set is required to be very high. The wheel shaft is made of 40CrMo material. After rough machining, it undergoes quenching and tempering treatment, with a hardness of HB260. The wheel disc is forged from 42CrMo and is fitted onto the wheel shaft with an interference fit, connected by a flat key. The wheel disc is also quenched and tempered to a hardness of HB220–HB305. The bearing housing is made of cast steel 25–30. Since the bearing housing is connected to the crane by bolts, the crane end carriage needs to be machined together with the bearing housing, using boring to ensure high assembly precision. The bearings are imported NSK or SKF bearings, which offer long service life, reliable quality, and high cost. As there is no unified standard for European-style cranes in the domestic crane industry, such wheel sets are custom-manufactured according to the drawings provided by the purchaser.
