Product Introduction

Wire rope drum is the key component of overhead crane trolley hoisting mechanism, used for winding wire rope to realize load lifting and lowering.

HGCRANE seamless steel tube wire rope drum adopts whole seamless steel pipe for the drum body, eliminating longitudinal welds which exist on traditional rolled welded drums. This structure greatly improves the overall structural stability and safety, greatly reducing risk of cracking under long-term repeated load.

Matched forged steel end flanges are connected with seamless tube by full penetration circumferential welding. All welds can be provided with non-destructive testing report on demand.

The spiral rope groove is precisely processed by CNC lathe. Uniform groove geometry prevents wire rope disorder stacking, minimizes extrusion wear of steel wire rope and improves the whole lifting system stability.

Q1: What is the difference between seamless tube drum and plate welded drum?

A: Seamless steel tube drum has no longitudinal welding seam, higher anti-fatigue performance, safer for frequent heavy load. It is the preferred scheme for small & medium diameter drums (D ≤ 500mm). Plate welded drums are usually used for large diameter drums.

Material is 20CrMnTi steel as promised, processing precision is high, running smoothly on our overhead crane, no abnormal noise or serious abrasion after months of use.
